Bullet Wonderdog Britfield (2003 - 2010)

Bullet died today. For those who did not know, we got him from Britfield Kennels in Australia, he was part of the "W" litter, hence the middlename Wonderdog, we had to choose a middle name that starts with "W". He was one of five puppies and the only male in the litter, otherwise it could almost have been Bulletta.

I didn't realise this but all his pictures are stored in the other mac. So this is the only one I have apart from the one I took of him a few hours before he died.

In Ikes class, this month, their module is about themselves, the kids are bringing in their baby clothes or baby pictures and so I dug these out... maybe the good thing about all this moving is that we need to take photo's all the time?

Well... an update on bullet... he was not well before I headed to london but I thought he would be ok. I got back and he was even thinner, brought him to vet immediately and since last week he has been having an IV every other day. At least he has stabilised, over the weekend he was not even keeping food down and was throwing up everything he ate. He has lost almost 1/3 of his weight and is a bag of bones, so sad. He still have to go everyday to the vet and IV and we force feed him through a syringe.

Yesterday his schedule looked like this... it was sunday so he was home

830am - administered shot to reduce acidity
840am - refused food

1100am - sms dr, she suggests administering the chinese medicine via syringe
1130am - ground down the white rice and egg, fed 60ml + 40 ml water
1140 - threw up

130pm - 20 ml of food, drank some water, chinese medicine, went down ok

230pm - 20 ml of food, threw up

430pm - 20 ml of food - ok

630pm - 20 ml of food - ok

830pm - 20 ml of food - ok

1030pm - 20 ml of food - threw up

this morning he went for an IV, 3 bags, still dehydrated and only peed at 7pm. Well at least he seems to have stabilised. He had some crackers at the vets, came back has had 50ml of egg tofu and in the last hour 50ml of egg tofu and another 30ml of ground down porridge. Another feed at 11pm.

Fish Spa...

So for my b'day lilin takes me to dinner, we have sushi, sake and lots of laughs at Akashi. I didn't want a big do as I was still a bit jet lagged and had the option of canceling last minute.

Opposite the restaurant was a fish spa so we decided to try it... its laid out with small fish, medium fish and BIG fish... not knowing where to go we go to the medium pool and were screaming, it is really squishy, squirmy, geliiiii. Very ticklish, can't believe they have a full immersion pool for those who want to have it full body one.

We headed to the smaller pool and got used to that before going to the medium pool again. They were hungry those fish. So all in all it was a fishy nite.

The boys came to my room at 6:30 am with this cake, sang happy birthday and then happily ate chocolate cake for breakfast... Thanks everyone for the wishes, presents and love! Next year onwards.... please make a donation on my behalf.

Bullet came back on wed nite, ate on thursday, friday had more bags of fluids put in but threw up what he ate and didn't drink much today. Back at vets for hard dose of antibiotics and hope that clears his kidney infection. He is really a bag of bones now and very sad. Hope he turns the corner soon.

Home from London

Well I get back and Ike has this big bandage on his face... with dried blood... the cut looked deep so off to the emergency ward... in the meantime ike opened his lego from Zeda and is very happy with his Obi Wan Kenobi figurine...

The cut was not so deep according to the dr who cleaned it then applied "glue", it must have stung as the whole floor could hear Ike's sreams. He got a sweetie after that and seemed to intensively suck at it and was happier. I got him some Mr. Bump plasters which he used. Today at school his friends seem so concerned about him.

Bullet is not in good shape, I came home to a skinnier dog, he lost 1 kg and is at the vet with a drip today. He is hungry and eats but his body can't digest, he seemed depressed. Vet said the text book case lifespan is 7 years for dogs with a liver problem and bullet turned 7 this march.... I hope he gets better soon.

This ice cream monster is ike, he fell asleep in his stroller while nate was getting his head massage session at the oesteopath and woke up in front of a haagen daz store! Nate's natural immune system seems to be doing a lot better, his strange rash is gone and his nose seems alot less blocked. Am tempted to have ike do the same too.

Got into london last evening, got to watch alot of movies on board the big whale A380, very nice plane. Went for a walk this morning and saw this kindergarden where kids lock their boards outside.... its not sunny today so the weather is a bit cold. Poor loren has really a bad cold but I managed to find him the nose flusher. Its good to hear about the update from toronto about Hannah's Bat Mitzvah. Sounded like alot of fun!
