So i decide to brave 2 days and 1 night in sun city with the boys, mabo and meera. The drive there is definitely longer than 1.5 hours and the kids always seem to nod off on a long drive and we decided to check out predator world before getting to sun city and with all the hype built up for sun city... it was not a pleasant short detour!
We decided to stay at Cabanas this time as it opens up into the large lawn and play area. One of my favourite things to do there is to bounce on the large and double trampoline and it was closed for repairs... but other stuff was open so we went on a choo choo ride and had lunch and checked in.
We got a really nice room with a great view but the last people in there smoked in a non-smoking room and the residue smell was just awful, even after airing for a few hours and the housekeeping staff using their industrial strength stuff, the smell lingered. urgh.
The kids hit the pool and Ike later napped for about an hour then we headed out to the entertainment center on bus (ikes first bus ride), took the monorail as a ride and then nate of course remembers the toy store there. Had dinner at a sushi place with a nice kiddies room and at some point, nate decides to leave mabo, ike and meera at the bathroom creating a heart stopping moment for them as they lost him!
By the time we got back settled in... it was 9pm when the boys slept. I now know that Ike wakes at about 230am and if he is not in his own bed, he decides to "play" and will go back to sleep only at about 430am. This has happened now several times. Maybe he should get his own room! or his crib in the closet?
