Fujian - Day 6

After buying some indigenous tea and local reddish tinted mushrooms (there were all types of mushrooms on this trip), we leave Wuyi shan and head back to Xiamen.

In the afternoon we visit one of the islands where the foreign concessions were given places to build their embassies so it resembled a mish mash of european architecture. We did see loads of brides and bridegrooms creating their fantasy wedding photo's throughout the island and even watched a puppet show. Nate is enthralled by how one can flick a stick between one's fingers, like Sunwukong (the monkey god).

My routine whenever we check in... charge the phone, the DVD player... am surprised the leapster only needed one change of batteries and has kept them quiet and well behaved on the bus and plane rides.

All the kids were happiest when we hit an italian restaurant after eating meal after meal of chinese food. Even the tour guide commented how the plates were all clean compared to the leftovers at the chinese meals. Even some of my nephews (I won't name who) was so quiet gorging instead of talking or disturbing the younger cousins... clean clean plates!
